Knights of Columbus Council 9792 Lenten Fish Fries End:

Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday.  It is a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter.

A traditional practice for Catholic communities is the serving of fish on Friday nights. We treat Lent as a season of repentance which calls for abstinence from eating meat on Fridays.  Our council is proud that we had very successful fish fries this 2025 Lenten season.

The Fish Fries ,which were enjoyed by over 300 people each week, have ended for this Lenten season.
