Carry the Cross 2026
It is time to remind everyone that this year’s Carry the Cross is fast approaching. It is another opportunity for Council 9792 and Holy Family to show our commitment to our seminarians and faith in general. We have been the #1 fundraising team 3 years in a row, so let’s keep our streak going!
This year’s event will take place at Kennesaw Mountain on Saturday, November 7, 2026. I hope once again to have a great turnout from Holy Family.
As always we have to remember that this is a fundraising event for our future priests so all can participate whether you hike up the mountain or not. This year our Grand Knight has set an ambitious goal of $8,000 which would be the most ever raised by a team. And remember that Transfiguration Council 10362 created two awards now – top fundraising team and top fundraising parish. As our past grant Knight Joe said, “I guess we just have to win two awards now!”
In addition, through the generosity of Martin and Dianne Peters we once again have Carry the Cross T-shirts (picture attached). However, to truly make this a fundraising event (similar to tele-thons), for every $100 you donate you can receive a T-shirt (up to two per family). T-shirts will be available at our September 8th business meeting – you can simply make the donation online at our team webpage below or feel free to bring cash, check, or use Venmo to our next business meeting and we can then upload the funds to our team website as well.
